Query Display

This isn’t so much of a coding question but an “auto it best practice” question.  I have a program that runs a query against an access database that pulls numerous fields, name, total time, status etc…  I have a GUI that displays these as individual labels so I have lblname1, lbltotaltime1, lblname2, lbltotaltime2 etc… I also have to register each one individually to catch a mouse click command, so the record will get pulled up if the user clicks name, total time or anything else on that row.  I did it this way because I needed the columns to line up and I wanted the user to be able to sort with the appropriate field but now that I have to revise this script I am greatly (GREATLY!) regretting this decision.


I originally wanted the entire query to populate just one label that way I only have to worry about populating 1 thing as opposed to 8 (soon to be 10) but I cannot figure out a good way to display these and still have the user sort, and click on a column.  The result “box” (ie group of rows and columns) doesn’t have to be anything fancy and could seriously just be black text over a white background but it needs to have clickable column headers.  Hopefully there is a pre made UDF or something very obvious that I am missing because I figure my code is literally 3-5 times longer than it needs to be.

Any suggestions on the best way of going about this?
