if DirCopy fails mid-way, what happens?

i'm wondering what happens when DirCopy fails, but only after some files have already been copied.

1) does it keep or remove the relics of the incomplete copy operation?

2) can i tell which file has failed?

unfortunately my attempts to simulate the scenario have all failed.

could anyone provide some insights?
