about autoit

hi friends ...

            one doubt
                 in .net  microsoft visual studio is a tool ... Asp .net is a language .... like that autoit  scripting language..... what tool we are using ??  

                 sorry if i asked any thing wrong ..... i dont know basic knowledge about autoit .....
